CREATIVE POSSIBILITIES

More control. Longer stories.

Kling 4.0 is Kling AI’s next-generation video model for text-to-video, image-to-video and reference-guided creation. Its official announcement brings together longer scenes, richer audiovisual detail and more precise control over characters, camera movement and story beats.

Omni Reference

Combine subject, image and video references to guide appearance, action and camera language. Up to 15 reference items can work together in one generation, helping a character or product stay recognizable across a scene.

Example source

Multi-keyframe storytelling

Plan up to 10 keyframe images to define important visual moments. Guide a scene from its opening through a turn in the action to its final frame, with single-generation video lengths of 3–30 seconds.

TWO MODELS. DIFFERENT NEEDS.

Kling 4.0 vs Kling 4.0 Flash

Choose a creative direction around the output you need. The standard model emphasizes scene control and higher resolution; Flash emphasizes faster, frequent iteration.

Compare the specificationsFeatures, formats and release status

Motion that follows your direction

Describe a tracking shot, push-in, orbit or continuous action. Kling 4.0 focuses on clearer motion and smoother shot transitions, making it useful for action scenes, product reveals and film previsualization.

Sound and performance together

Two-channel stereo audio and improved lip-sync connect dialogue, ambient sound and character performance. The announcement lists Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Hindi, among other languages.

Sharper scenes, more expressive detail

The listed output options are 720p, 1080p and 4K, with aspect ratios including 21:9, 16:9, 1:1, 9:16 and Auto. More natural facial expressions, lighting and textures help support close-ups and cinematic composition.

Edit the idea, preserve the scene

Reference-guided editing targets subjects, backgrounds, movement or visual style. Input editing supports up to five clips, including one primary video, with a combined length no longer than 30 seconds.

FROM IDEA TO CREATIVE BRIEF

How to plan a Kling AI video

A focused prompt and a small set of useful references are a good starting point for both text-to-video and image-to-video. Prepare the direction now, then select an available model in the studio.

  1. 01

    Define one scene

Name the subject, location and one main action. Choose the feeling and the most important moment rather than asking for several unrelated scenes.

  2. 02

    Prepare the references

Use a character image, product photo or movement reference where it adds clarity. Decide what must stay consistent and which moments need keyframes.

  3. 03

    Choose the real settings

Open the studio and check its model, duration, ratio and resolution. This website currently offers Kling 3.0; the Kling 4.0 specifications above describe the announced model.

  4. 04

    Review and refine

Watch for identity changes, unexpected cuts and mismatched motion. Change one instruction at a time so you can see which adjustment improved the result.

Prompt ideas for your next video

Use these original practice prompts as creative starting points. They are briefs, not claims about generated results.

01

Cinematic camera movement

A pianist performs on a ship at sunset. Begin with a wide view of the ocean, track slowly toward the piano, then finish on the hands. Keep the performer and piano consistent. Natural wind, moving waves and warm cinematic light.

02

A product reveal

A ceramic perfume bottle rests on wet stone. A slow camera orbit reveals its shape, followed by a close-up of the surface and label. Soft side lighting, subtle water reflections, one continuous movement, no changes to the product design.

03

A continuous character moment

Two old friends recognize each other on a quiet street at dusk. Follow their approach in one continuous shot, then hold on the smile before they embrace. Consistent clothing and faces, natural footsteps, gentle handheld camera movement.

Kling 4.0 FAQ

What is Kling 4.0?

Kling 4.0, also searched as Kling4 or Kling AI 4.0, is the next-generation Kling AI video model described in the official release note. It brings text-to-video, image-to-video, richer references, multi-keyframe control and synchronized audio into a more complete video workflow.

When is Kling 4.0 being released?

The official announcement says Kling 4.0 will launch in October without naming an exact date. Kling 4.0 Flash entered limited early access on September 28. This page was checked on October 4, 2026; access can vary by product and account.

Can I generate with Kling 4.0 on this website?

Kling 4.0 is not yet integrated here. The studio button opens the currently available Kling 3.0 workflow. Always check the model selector before generating; a model information page does not mean that version is available in the studio.

Does Kling 4.0 support 4K video?

Yes. The official standard-model specification lists 720p, 1080p and 4K. Flash lists 720p. The announcement describes 10-bit HDR at 1080p and 4K as coming soon. Available resolution on this website depends on the selected studio model.

How long can a Kling 4.0 video be?

The announced standard model supports 3–30 seconds in a single generation. Flash lists 3–20 seconds. Repeated extension up to two minutes is described as coming soon, and is separate from the single-generation limit.

How many keyframes and references can I use?

The standard model lists up to 10 keyframe images and up to 15 combined reference items. Individual limits include 10 images, five videos totaling up to 30 seconds, and seven subject elements, including up to three video-based elements. These category limits do not add up to a higher combined allowance.

What is the difference between Kling 4.0 and Flash?

The standard model lists longer single-generation clips, 4K and multi-keyframes. Flash is positioned for faster iteration, with 3–20-second clips, 720p and Omni Reference. The Flash specification does not list multi-keyframes, so this page does not assume they are supported.

Does Kling 4.0 generate sound and lip-sync?

The announcement describes two-channel stereo sound, more accurate lip-sync and broader spoken-language support. Audio reference input is specifically described as voice reference. These announced features should not be confused with the settings of another model in the studio.

Is Kling 4.0 free, and how much does it cost?

You can watch the video examples on this page for free. Generation uses the models available in the studio and your credit balance; free credits depend on account offers. Kling 4.0 is not yet integrated. Check the selected model’s credit cost and platform plans before generating.

Is there a Kling 4.0 API on this website?

A Kling 4.0 API is not offered by this page. Consult the platform API documentation for supported models and endpoints. Official Kling AI access and this website’s integrations are separate.
